Description

"An introduction to Open Science and Research Data Management" by the UniSR/OSR Open Science Team. The presentation is divided in two parts: - The first briefly discusses the core concepts and principles of Open Science, the benefits of this approach for all stakeholders, and the open science requirements from journals and funders, with a focus on the new policies adopted by the European Commission in the "Horizon Europe" programme (the EU's key funding programme for research and innovation, until 2027). - The second part focuses on Research Data Management and provides practical information on Data Management Plans (DMPs), on how to effectively preserve and share research data, and on how to make research data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). All relevant references are collected in the last slide.
